RVDA/RVIA RV Service Technician Certification Program
How to become certified
The information on this page includes all you need to know to become a certified RV technician. Be sure to look at each step and the necessary requirements.
You must complete three steps to become a certified technician or certified specialist. At step three the Career Ladder branches into two options:
Path 1 – Traditional option where technicians are tested on all RV systems.
Path 2 – Specialty option where technicians are tested in one or more RV specialty areas.
The Career Ladder tests are available online. To receive a user id and passcode the technician must submit a completed application and meet all of the Career Ladder requirements.
Verify your computer is compatible with the test's computer requirements.
